Simply Education is seeking enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming and diverse secondary schools across Staffordshire. We have opportunities for daily supply, short‑term cover and long‑term classroom support roles depending on your availability and experience.
This role is ideal for those with experience working with young people or those looking to start or develop a career within education, with full training and CPD available.
Location & School Information
Secondary schools across Staffordshire
Supportive SENCO and pastoral teams
A mix of mainstream and SEN provision depending on the school
Ofsted ratings vary across partner schools
Positive school culture and clear behaviour expectations
Roles supporting KS3 and KS4 students
Positions available due to increased classroom support needs, staff progression and SEND requirements
Start Date & Contract Details
Immediate, April and September starts available
Daily supply, short‑term and long‑term roles
Temp‑to‑perm opportunities
Full‑time and part‑time considered
Hours & Working Pattern
Monday to Friday
Typically 8:15am-3:30pm
Part‑time options available
Salary & Pay
£88.92-£105.04 per day
PAYE available
Pay dependent on experience and role responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Assist with classroom behaviour and routines
Support pupils with SEND where required
Prepare resources and assist with lesson delivery
Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
Uphold safeguarding and follow school policies at all times
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience working with young people (school or non‑school settings)
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A patient, supportive and adaptable approach
Willingness to assist with a range of subjects
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant school‑based experience or a desire to train
