Your new role Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience delivering structured interventions and working 1:1 or in small groups? We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham this September! Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH focus) Location: Birmingham (East Birmingham) Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, Temporary (1 term - Sept to Dec) with potential to go permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, school hoursKey Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs Deliver structured intervention programmes tailored to individual learning plans Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to support student progress Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment What you'll need to succeed Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or similar needs Confident delivering structured interventions Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential) What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
