Job Description
Level 3 Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Full-Time, Ribble Valley)
We're looking for a committed and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in the Ribble Valley. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a child in Year 5 with an EHCP.
The child has Autism and complex needs, including demand avoidance behaviours, and requires a calm, consistent adult to support their day-to-day learning.
Key requirement:
You must have experience in delivering speech and language therapy programmes, ideally as part of previous SEN support roles.
You'll be well-supported by the class teacher and SENCo, and work closely with external professionals. The role will suit someone with patience, flexibility, and a strong understanding of how to adapt communication strategies to meet individual needs.
Essential:
Level 3 TA qualification (or higher)
Experience working with children with Autism
Confident delivering targeted speech and language interventions
Understanding of demand avoidance behaviours
