As a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant in Newport, you will collaborate closely with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging activities tailored to the foundation phase. Your role will involve supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development, assisting with behaviour management, and helping pupils with additional learning needs and language requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer general classroom support to pupils in the foundation phase as a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant in Newport.
* Assist in planning and delivering creative, engaging activities alongside the Class Teacher.
* Support development of pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills.
* Aid with behaviour management to ensure a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
* Support pupils with additional learning needs and language requirements.
* Contribute to the smooth running and organisation of the classroom.
Requirements:
* Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills for the Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant role in Newport.
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
