Job Title: Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants
Location: Ealing, West London
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90-£105 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Job Description:
The successful candidate will support teaching and learning in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16), working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to help raise student achievement and engagement. This is an ideal role for recent graduates looking to gain experience before applying to teacher training or related educational roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, and the Arts.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional learning needs or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Offer academic and emotional support to help students reach their full potential.
Support behaviour management strategies and help create a positive learning environment.
Help to assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Take part in extracurricular activities, homework clubs, or intervention sessions as needed.
Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organisation.
Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and equality policies in line with school expectations.Person Specification:
A recent university graduate (minimum 2:2 degree), ideally in a core subject or related field.
Passionate about education and supporting young people.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Positive, proactive, and resilient attitude.
Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, summer camps) is desirable but not essential.
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.
Must be eligible to work in the UK and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.Why Apply?
