Key Responsibilities for the Nurse Team Leader:
Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and lead a team of nursing professionals, providing support and guidance in day-to-day operations.
Patient Care Coordination: Oversee the development and delivery of individualised care plans, ensuring timely and effective patient interventions.
Staff Supervision: Monitor and assess the performance of nursing staff, offering constructive feedback and ensuring ongoing professional development.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, especially those with complex needs such as dementia.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices in patient care delivery.
Documentation: Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and progress to maintain high standards of care.
Communication: Act as a key point of contact between patients, their families, and healthcare providers to address concerns and enhance patient satisfaction.
Quality Improvement: Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, aiming to elevate the standard of care and outcomes within the unit.
Essential Qualifications & Experience for the Nurse Team Leader:
Prior experience in dementia care, including working with residents with complex needs, is essential. - Nurse Qualified
Proven experience in leading teams within a nursing or healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of nursing principles, anatomy, and patient care practices.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, often challenging environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
