Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join a specialist Children’s Residential Home in Derbyshire. This home supports children and young people with learning disabilities, providing high-quality care that promotes independence, emotional well-being, and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead and support a care team to deliver person-centred support to children with learning disabilities.
*
Ensure safeguarding standards are upheld and promote positive behaviour strategies.
*
Support the Registered Manager with regulatory documentation and staff supervision.
*
Assist children with personal care, emotional development, and educational activities.
*
Build effective relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
*
Participate in staff handovers, care planning, and routine reporting.
Essential Requirements
*
Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (Essential)
*
Previous experience working with children with learning disabilities (Essential)
*
Some supervisory experience (Desirable)
*
Strong communication and leadership skills
*
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour management
*
Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-in duties
*
Full UK Driving Licence with business insurance (Required)
