We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our children’s residential service. You will play a key role in a leading staff team; providing intensive, therapeutic care for young people with complex needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining direct work with young people with mentoring and supporting staff. You’ll champion our therapeutic ethos, using approaches such as PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), ensuring that every child feels safe, understood, and able to thrive.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing visible and supportive leadership.
* Mentoring and guiding staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
* Supporting young people through crisis and emotional regulation.
* Leading on safeguarding, risk management, and reflective practice.
* Coordinating rotas, audits, and daily operations alongside managers.
* Building strong relationships with external professionals and families.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children and young people with complex trauma and behavioural needs.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support and motivate teams.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and therapeutic practice.
* A flexible, resilient, and empathetic approach.
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (minimum) – Level 4/5 desirable.
* Full-Time (shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)
