Are you a compassionate and experienced care professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected children's residential care provider to recruit a Team Leader for one of their specialist homes in the Longridge / Ribchester area, supporting children with learning difficulties.
🏡 About the Role:
As Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children aged 6-16 with a range of learning disabilities and complex needs. You'll lead a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and emotional support are consistently delivered.
💙 Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example in delivering person-centred care and support
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff to maintain a positive and professional team culture
Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and compliance
Ensure care plans are followed and regularly reviewed
Promote independence, life skills, and emotional wellbeing for each child
Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns with professionalism and empathy✅ What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (Level 5 desirable)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with learning difficulties
Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and behavioural support strategies🎁 What's On Offer:
