Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established independent children’s care provider to recruit a Team Leader (Residential Care) for their home in Cannock.
This is a key leadership role within a supportive, values-driven organisation, overseeing a committed team and ensuring young people receive high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise, and support Residential Care Workers
* Deputise for the Deputy/Registered Manager and assist in running the home
* Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures are followed
* Promote education, health, independence, and family contact for residents
* Manage staff rotas, supervision, and development
* Maintain a safe, welcoming, and compliant home
* Support Ofsted readiness and quality improvement initiatives
* Liaise with external professionals (social workers, schools, CAMHS, authorities)
Requirements:
* Residential care experience with children/young people
* Leadership or supervisory experience
* Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
* Strong communication, resilience, and organisational skills
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare desirable
* Full UK driving licence desirable
Details:
* 37.5 hours/week including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
* Enhanced DBS required
