Warehouse Team Leader
Location: BD6, Bradford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with flexibility to work between 6:00am and 6:00pm as required.
Pay Rate: £14.61 per hour
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a fast-paced logistics operation in BD6. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with warehouse supervisory experience to lead a team across goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service standards. You will lead by example, support and develop your team, and help ensure the smooth running of daily warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise warehouse operatives across all operational areas.
Organise and allocate daily workloads to achieve productivity and service targets.
Ensure stock integrity through accurate receipt, storage, picking and dispatch processes.
Manage staffing levels, including agency workers, holiday cover and absence management.
Monitor daily warehouse performance against SLAs and KPIs.
Deliver team briefings, training and performance coaching.
Maintain excellent health and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
Investigate and resolve operational issues with minimal supervision.
Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required.
Promote a positive, productive and customer-focused working environment.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Warehouse Operative.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and dispatch processes.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
Commitment to health and safety and operational excellence.
Desirable
First Aid qualification.
Fire Marshal training.
SESS (Racking Inspection) qualification.
Experience within logistics, distribution or contract warehousing environments.
