Team Leader – Elderly Residential Care | Guildford
Salary: £27,300 – £36,400 per year + excellent benefits
Contract: Permanent, choose amount of contracted hours that suit you from 37 up to 50 hours per week
Shifts: Days only, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Are you a compassionate and experienced care professional ready to lead and inspire others? We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join a well-respected residential care home in Guildford, specialising in elderly care.
About the Role:
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll lead a team of carers on shift, ensure the well-being of residents, and promote a safe, supportive, and dignified environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of care staff during day shifts
Administer medication safely and in line with training and policy (must be medication trained)
Promote and maintain high standards in line with CQC regulations and safeguarding practices
Support with care planning, risk assessments, and accurate handovers
Act as a positive role model, supporting team development and a strong care culture
Assist the management team with audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
Previous experience in a similar senior care or team leader role within a residential or nursing care setting
Confident in managing teams and ensuring compliance
Medication administration training essential
Sound understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for delivering exceptional care to older adults
