Job Title: Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £14.50 ph/ £50.00 for sleep in’s
We are currently working with a fantastic growing organisation, who provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic residential care for children and young people. Their mission is to create homes that offer stability, healing, and opportunities for brighter futures.
The Director/ RI has over 10 years’ experience working in Children’s Services and is very passionate about providing the right care for children and young people and growing a strong team.
The Team Leader will work on a permanent basis, leading Residential Support Workers and supporting Registered Managers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, supervising, and mentoring staff to maintain excellent standards of therapeutic care.
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and company procedures.
Supporting care planning and risk assessments tailored to each young person’s needs.
Being a positive role model, promoting resilience, independence, and emotional well-being.
Contributing to rota management and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.Essential criteria:
Experience in residential childcare (minimum 2 years preferred).
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour management strategies.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.What We Offer
