Key Responsibilities:
This is a critical, high-impact leadership role at Nwando Care, focused on managing a flexible caseload of adults with complex needs across 3-4 Supported Living settings.
You will step into a pivotal leadership position, overseeing a minimum of three different provisions/placements that require specialist focus, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality care.
People & Provision Management

Leadership and Supervision: Act as the direct supervisor and Team Leader for relevant frontline teams at your allocated placements.

Performance and Rosters: Coordinate and work with staff to manage rosters and ensure monthly rotas are prepared, balancing Service User needs with staff availability.
*
Skills Development: Lead by example (be visible, accessible, and ready to "roll your sleeves up"). Support and develop the skills and knowledge of leaders and frontline staff to enhance their practice.

Staffing Support: Respond directly to requests for support when behaviours of concern change and provide specific practice reflections and incident debrief sessions.
2. Quality Assurance & PBS Implementation

Restrictive Practice Champion: Take the lead on identifying, documenting, and actively eliminating or reducing the use of restrictive practices across your settings in line with policy.

Audits and Reviews: Carry out observations of practice and undertake necessary assessment work, supporting the overall adherence to Nwando Care’s policies and procedures.

Safeguarding: Maintain a relentless focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support.
Essential Requirements
*
Proven Experience: Significant, recent experience as a Team leader or a complex care team leader.
*
PBS Understanding: A solid working knowledge and practical application of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) principles and the commitment to least-restrictive practices.
*
Operational Skills: Meticulous organisational skills, the ability to manage complex rosters, and excellent staff supervision capabilities.
*
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff, external professionals, and key stakeholders
