Job Description

Role: Team Leader Location of role: Blackbrook, St Helens. Rate of Pay: £32,540.21 - £34,693.01 per annum, pro rota Hours of work: 19 hours per week Role Description: In consultation with the Registered Manager and the Deputy Managers, the Team Leader will assist in managing the overall daily operations at Marydale Lodge, working with children and young people in a secure residential setting. As a Team Leader you will provide direct line management to a small number of Childcare Workers. Develop and implement care and risk plans based on individualised children’s need in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management and education settings. Model best practice in terms of providing high quality care. Experience and Skills: * Will be able to demonstrate their ability to showcase our core values in their work with the young people, treating everybody with dignity and showing courage in the face of challenging behaviour. * Be well versed in children’s homes legislation, regulations and inspection framework, to support the safe and effectively delivery of care: * Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. * Social Care Common Inspection Framework Social care common inspection framework (SCCIF) and assurance visits * ​Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent) * Experience of working with electronic care records and auditing processes within the care system * Excellent administration and IT skills * Excellent communication skills including first-rate literacy and numerical skills * Working Knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children’s Homes and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 Benefits: * Life Assurance Scheme * Corporate Medicash Scheme * Group Personal Pension Scheme * Access to offers and discounts. * Blue Light Card * 30 days paid annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after three years in service. * Recommend a friend scheme. * Values Awards * A comprehensive induction programme with ongoing training and development * Career Progression opportunities * Enhanced DBS check which is fully paid for by Nugent and maintained on the DBS update service.
