Connect2Socialwork is seeking a dedicated and experienced social work professional on behalf of a local authority in South East England to join their Children in Care service as a Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to contribute to the development of a high-performing service that makes a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
The Role
The Team Manager will lead a committed team of social workers, providing effective supervision, guidance, and support to ensure high standards of practice. Working alongside an Assistant Team Manager, the post holder will oversee day-to-day operations, manage complex cases when required, and ensure that the welfare of children and young people remains the highest priority.
This role offers the chance to shape service delivery, foster a collaborative working environment, and champion strengths-based, relationship-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to a team of qualified social workers.
Ensure effective case management and positive outcomes for children and families.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Support staff through supervision, coaching, and reflective practice.
Contribute to service planning and development in collaboration with senior management.Candidate Profile
Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
Registration with Social Work England.
Completion of ASYE and substantial post-qualifying experience.
Proven leadership and supervisory experience in statutory children's services.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.Offer Includes:
