Team Manager - Birth to Adulthood Team 📍 Location: Dorset 💰 Rate: Up to £42ph 📅 Contract Type: Locum, Full-Time Are you an experienced and values-driven Social Work professional ready to step into a leadership role that spans the full spectrum of child and adult safeguarding? Dorset Council's Birth to Adulthood Team is seeking a dynamic Team Manager to help shape and lead a high-performing service that delivers holistic, person-centred care from early childhood through to adulthood. 🔍 About the Role You'll lead a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering integrated safeguarding services across key transition points in a young person's journey. Your leadership will ensure trauma-informed, strength-based practice that promotes stability, safety, and long-term wellbeing. Team configuration typically includes: Qualified Social Workers Assistant Team Manager Specialist practitioners across education, health, and adult services Dedicated admin and business support staff🛠️ Key Responsibilities Provide clear leadership, supervision, and oversight across complex safeguarding cases Drive performance, quality assurance, and reflective practice Build effective partnerships across children's and adult services Support staff wellbeing and professional development Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and best practice guidance Contribute to strategic service development and delivery✅ What We're Looking For Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England Proven leadership experience within statutory safeguarding teams Strong grasp of legislative frameworks for children and adult social care Excellent communication, coaching, and service planning skills Commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive practice Driving licence and ability to travel across Dorset🌱 Why Join Dorset Council?
