Team Manager – KBB & Merchant Recruitment

Location: Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE + Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonus

OTE: £55,000 - £60,000 (Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonus)

Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm

Simon Acres Group Ltd is a specialist recruitment business operating across the KBB (Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms) and Merchant sectors through Simon Acres Recruitment, KBB Recruitment and Oval Deene Recruitment.

We are looking for an experienced KBB and/or Merchant professional to join our team as Team Manager.

This is an opportunity to bring your industry knowledge and management experience into a specialist recruitment environment. You don't need to be an experienced recruitment manager, we're looking for someone who understands the industry, knows what good looks like and can lead and develop a team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of our Recruitment Consultants, while using your KBB/Merchant experience to support the team with industry knowledge and commercial insight.

Your industry expertise will also be key in helping consultants understand clients, candidates, roles and the wider KBB and Merchant markets.

The role will also include a small personal recruitment desk, with an expectation of approximately two placements per month.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage, motivate and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants.

  * Lead daily morning meetings and conduct regular 1-to-1s.

  * Monitor KPIs, billings and individual performance.

  * Support consultants with development, challenging vacancies and client relationships.

  * Use your KBB/Merchant knowledge to provide industry insight and commercial guidance.

  * Help consultants understand client requirements and assess candidate suitability.

  * Share industry knowledge and best practice with the team.

  * Support business development and key accounts.

  * Manage a small personal recruitment desk and contribute to company billings.

  * Work closely with the Directors on team performance and business growth.

  * Support the day-to-day running of the office.

About You

Industry experience is essential.

We're looking for someone with strong experience within the KBB and/or Merchant sectors who has previously managed, mentored or developed a team.

You may currently be a Showroom Manager, Branch Manager, Sales Manager, Area/Regional Manager, Commercial Manager or another senior KBB/Merchant professional.

You'll have:

  * Strong KBB and/or Merchant industry knowledge.

  * Previous people-management or team-leadership experience.

  * Strong commercial awareness.

  * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  * A supportive but accountable management style.

  * The confidence to share your knowledge and develop others.

  * Recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential – training and support will be provided for the right industry professional.
