We’re working with a highly respected and successful manufacturing business that’s now seeking a Technical Buyer to support ongoing growth. This is a crucial role for someone with a strong understanding of technical drawings, materials, and production needs.

Salary to £40k | Bonus | Private Healthcare | 25 Days Holiday + BH | Early Finish Fridays
Technical Buyer – Key Essentials:
*
Source and procure technical materials, components, and services aligned with production demands
*
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate purchasing decisions
*
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new products and projects
*
Manage supplier performance – maintaining pricing, lead times, and delivery standards
*
Negotiate best value from suppliers on cost, quality, and timelines
*
Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time and in-spec delivery
*
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control
*
Resolve supply or quality issues promptly to maintain production flow
Technical Buyer – Requirements:
*
Experience as a Technical Buyer within manufacturing or engineering
*
Strong understanding of technical components, drawings, and material specifications
*
Skilled in supplier negotiations and relationship management
*
Organised, detail-focused, and proactive in resolving issues
*
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
*
Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments
This is a full-time, office-based position with working hours Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, and an early finish Friday at 12:30pm.
