Technival Co-Ordinator

What You'll Be Doing
As part of our forward-thinking Design and Technical team, you'll be at the forefront of delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality housing solutions. This team plays a key role in shaping our developments-from the earliest concept to final completion-ensuring compliance with regulations and championing engineering excellence.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll oversee the design and technical coordination of infrastructure works. This includes managing external consultants, securing statutory approvals, coordinating adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278), and supporting timely site starts. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of our diverse and challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the design and detailing of external works by appointed consulting engineers-foundations, roads, sewers, and more.
Secure and manage S38, S104, and S278 adoption agreements, including timely bond placement and release.
Conduct ongoing evaluation and peer reviews of consultant designs to ensure value engineering and statutory compliance.
Obtain utility records and enquiries for new development sites.
Collaborate with Technical Team colleagues to discharge planning conditions and building regulations.
Ensure high-quality technical drawings and approvals are in place to support efficient site starts and minimise risk.
Lead and manage external consultants in the preparation of production information to meet agreed programme, fee, and scope.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of design programmes at progression meetings.
Oversee statutory enquiries, sewer connections, and legal agreements to support project timelines.
Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures across all activities.
Attend site progress meetings, inspections, and cross-functional project reviews.
Provide technical responses to on-site queries and resolve construction-related challenges.
Support subcontractor interviews and issue construction drawings/information as required.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
A degree in Civil/Building Engineering or an HNC/HND in a construction-related subject with relevant experience.
Previous experience in a technical/design role within a UK housebuilding or engineering environment.
A strong working knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC standards, Party Wall Awards, and related construction legislation.
Experience liaising and negotiating with local authorities, sewerage undertakers, and highways departments.
The ability to assess and resolve design and site issues effectively and efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-capable of managing multi-disciplinary teams and presenting confidently.
A proactive, customer-focused attitude and a keen eye for detail.
Competence in IT systems and design tools, including AutoCAD
