Job Description

Technical Consultant – Microsoft Infrastructure | MSP | Client-Facing  Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity We’re working with a growing Managed Service Provider looking to hire an experienced Technical Consultant to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions to a diverse client base. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while building strong customer relationships. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure across on-premises and virtualised environments, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and ensuring best-practice delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, implement and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions for SME and mid-market clients Work across on-premises environments, including servers, storage and core infrastructure Deliver and support virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V / VMware) Provide networking expertise including switching, routing, firewalls and connectivity Lead technical projects, migrations and infrastructure upgrades Act as a client-facing technical consultant, providing clear advice and documentation Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide 3rd line support where required Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standardSkills & Experience Required Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCSA, MCSE, Azure, or equivalent modern certifications) Strong experience with Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure Proven background working within an MSP or multi-client environment Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies Solid networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs) Experience with infrastructure projects and technical consultancy Excellent communication skills with strong client-facing experience Full UK driving licence (if travel required)Desirable Skills Exposure to cloud technologies (Microsoft 365 / Azure) Backup & disaster recovery solutions Security best practices and infrastructure hardening
