Technical Coordinator (Hazardous Waste)

Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK.

A vacancy currently exists for a Technical Coordinator to work within the company’s successful waste treatment division at a hazardous waste treatment and transfer facility in Sheffield. You will manage and undertake, with a small team, the technical assessment of hazardous waste enquiries. This includes negotiating with customers and third-party disposers, preparing transportation documentation, collating site records and producing accurate data for invoicing, ensuring all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  * Degree in chemistry or a related subject

  * Experience within the hazardous waste treatment or chemical industry

  * DGSA qualification (or willingness to achieve)

  * COTC in Hazardous Treatment desirable

  * Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office

  * Transport administration experience or CPC in Road Haulage Operations desirable

  * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information

  * Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills

  * Clean full driving licence is an advantage.

This is a full time, permanent role based on site Monday to Friday.
