Think Specialist Recruitment are pleased to be working with a great organisation based in the Watford area. Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity would suit someone who is technically minded, has experience within estimating and ideally with a HVAC background. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be happy providing a good level of service to customers.
Salary - up to £38,000 depending on experience
This position will be initially office based but move to hybrid working after training
Some of the duties will include:
Supporting the UK sales team with customer enquiries, answering incoming calls and providing technical assistance
Manage and support the production of commercial and domestic designs, quotations and estimates
Provide engineering support to clients by producing technical drawings, hydraulic calculations and material lists
Working with sales and marketing teams to offer technical support
Managing project schedules and engineering design deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion
Communicating project timelines with clients
Assist in reviewing, developing and improving design and estimating tools, processes and procedures
The suitable candidate:
Previous experience within design and estimating
Experience within HVAC or plumbing/heating systems is desirable
Strong technical understanding of design principles
Good knowledge of building materials and product standards
Good communication skills with the ability to provide a good level of customer service
Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative
