Technical Estimator

Location: Colchester Area
 Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
 Hours: Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, Fri 9am-4pm

Are you an experienced Engineer from the acoustic, manufacturing, fabrication, production or mechanical engineering sectors? Our client near Colchester is seeking a Technical Estimator to join their growing team and support the Commercial Manager in preparing bids and tenders for bespoke acoustic and noise control solutions predominantly for the green energy sector.

£38,000 - £45,000 DOE
25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role:

Prepare and manage bids, tenders and client quotations
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
Conduct site surveys and assist in technical design and estimating
Coordinate sales and marketing activities including digital content, tenders, and trade shows
Support the delivery team with project handovers and technical documentation 

About You:

Background in acoustic engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
A HND or above ideally in Mechanical Engineering is preferable
Strong technical and estimating skills are a must
Must have good mathematical skills
Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD experience preferred
A Knowledge of CRM/Marketing would be an asset
Full UK driving licence and own transport essential
