Role: Technical Manager (Dual-Site)
Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Salary: £60,000
Total Search Partners are retained by a client to find a Technical Manager for a Chilled Food Manufacturing business near Bishop’s Stortford and the role will have technical oversight for another small factory within a commutable distance.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong chilled Food Manufacturing background, having lead technical teams through periods of growth. This role will blend technical strategy with hands-on technical leadership, team development and customer relations.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the site's technical agenda, to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and customer standards.
* Own and develop the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
* Manage customer audits and approvals
* Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Support and coach the QA team
* Collaborate with production and operations to ensure technical standards are met consistently throughout the process..
* Maintain up-to-date documentation and records in line with BRC and retailer standards.
* Drive site-wide awareness of food safety and quality through training and engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile.
* Strong working knowledge of QMS, HACCP, and food safety legislation.
* Collaborative leader who can work cross-functionally to deliver results.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
* Experience with customer audits and technical documentation.
* Direct customer relationship experience, with: retailers, wholesalers, foodservice.
