£60k plus bonus and package
If you're a Technical Manager who enjoys getting stuck into the detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, this could be a great next step for you.
We're looking for someone who knows understands the food industry who can confidently take ownership of technical standards on site, guide a talented team, and influence how things are done across the site. You'll be the go-to person for making sure everything we produce is safe, compliant, consistent, and continually improving.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll take charge of a capable technical team, giving them direction, development and day-to-day support. You'll keep communication flowing, make sure priorities are clear, and help each person bring their best to the table.
You'll also play a key part in how the site runs:
Overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and ensuring the site is audit-ready at all times.
Leading both internal checks and external audits with confidence.
Working closely with production, supply chain, NPD and other teams to keep projects on track.
Keeping budgets, timelines and resources in line so technical work lands smoothly.
Spotting opportunities to sharpen processes, strengthen product performance and introduce better ways of working.
Resolving complex issues with a calm, practical approach.
Keeping senior leaders informed on progress, risks and wins.
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and industry partners.
Championing tools, systems and methods that help raise standards across the board.
Your background
You'll already have solid technical management experience within food manufacturing, and you're comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on problem solving. You're organised, clear-thinking and able to translate technical detail into action that works on the factory floor.
You're someone who:

Loves improving systems and making things work better.
Guides teams with encouragement, honesty and high expectations.
Keeps a cool head when challenges arise.
Has a deep understanding of food safety requirements and industry expectations.
Has a sharp eye for detail and a naturally proactive approach.
Experienced managing BRCGS certification and leading successful audit outcomes.
Knowledge of Retailer Codes of Practice.
Recognised qualifications in Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, HACCP, Lead Auditing, and Health & Safety (eg, NEBOSH or equivalent).
