Job Description

Job Title: Technical Manager (HVAC / Air Conditioning)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Benefits

We’re recruiting for a Technical Manager with a strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background to support a major facilities management contract in Newcastle.

This is a leadership role managing a team of 15 engineers, focused on technical delivery, compliance and performance across HVAC systems — all within a 100% office-based environment.

The Role

  * Managing and supporting a team of 15 HVAC / AC engineers

  * Overseeing PPM and reactive maintenance delivery across the contract

  * Acting as the technical lead for HVAC systems and escalations

  * Driving system performance, uptime and energy efficiency

  * Leading on compliance, including F-Gas and health & safety

  * Managing projects including upgrades, installs and lifecycle works

  * Working closely with the client and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  * Strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background within FM

  * Experience managing or supervising engineering teams

  * Good understanding of compliance (F-Gas, H&S, etc.)

  * Experience in maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation

  * Strong communication and client-facing skills
