Technical Manager — 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Up to £80,000
Location: West London
We’re hiring for an experienced Technical Manager to join an award-winning food manufacturing business on a 12-month fixed term contract.
You’ll be a key member of the site leadership team, driving food safety, quality, and compliance across the site ensuring that every product is safe, legal, and of the highest standard.
You’ll also play a vital role in promoting a best-in-class food safety culture throughout the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive the technical and quality agenda across the site, working with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Lead and develop the Technical Team, improving engagement, training, and performance.
- Own food safety strategy and champion a positive food safety culture.
- Be the site HACCP team leader, ensuring ongoing compliance and best practice.
- Maintain audit readiness (BRC), lead internal and external audits, and manage site documentation to the highest standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality, food safety, and production practices.
- Work closely with NPD, Procurement, and Central Technical teams to ensure raw material, supplier, and recipe compliance.
- First point of escalation for any food safety or quality incidents.
What we’re looking for:
- Technical/Food Safety experience within food manufacturing
- Proven experience leading teams and working at a senior/site leadership level.
- Strong understanding of HACCP (Level 3 minimum), Food Safety (Level 3), and BRC requirements.
- Trained auditor (internal or lead).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and people skills — able to influence and drive a culture of quality.
- A proactive leader with a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
