Technical Research Officer
Location: Uxbridge (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: £40,000 + benefits

A leading construction business in Uxbridge is seeking a Technical Research Officer to support its technical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong construction background who's passionate about compliance, innovation, and technical excellence in national frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical research and support framework development
Draft and review tender documents and technical specifications
Lead annual reviews of framework operators
Monitor UK-wide regulatory changes and ensure compliance
Support regional teams with technical queries and cost validations
Deliver internal training and create client-facing materials
Undertake site visits and manage contractor assessments
Candidate Profile
Experience in construction projects and procurement
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards
Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts, M&E, fire safety, and MMC
Degree or equivalent in Construction/Engineering
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Understanding of decarbonisation, accessibility, and digital tools
