Technical Operator
Stafford, ST16
Permanent | £32,000 - £33,000 + shift allowance (if nights)
Day & Night Shifts | Annualised hours (6 extra shifts/year)
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business in Stafford, seeking experienced and motivated Technical Operators to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical mindset and experience in a production or technical environment, who's looking to take the next step in a stable and rewarding role.
Shift Patterns Available:
Day Shift (Annual Salary £32,000 - £33,000):Week 1: Monday - Wednesday, 7am - 7pm
Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 7pm
Night Shift (Annual Salary £32,000 - £33,000 + £2,730 shift allowance):
Week 1: Sunday - Wednesday, 7pm - 7am
Week 2: Monday - Wednesday, 7pm - 7am
Key Responsibilities:
Operate high-spec processing and packing equipment using recipe management systems
Perform regular equipment start-up, shutdown and maintenance procedures
Ensure all safety protocols (LOTO) and quality standards (HACCP, GMP) are upheld
Complete and maintain production documentation including manufacturing and quality records
Carry out autonomous maintenance activities including cleaning and inspections
Diagnose equipment issues, understand mechanical structures, and address performance abnormalities
Apply problem-solving techniques (e.g. RCA, 5 Whys) to identify root causes and improve processes
Champion continuous improvement and maintain high performance in a fast-paced environment
Adhere to all health & safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards
What they are Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar technical or production-based role
Strong awareness of safety, quality and manufacturing standards
A hands-on individual with good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Reliable, self-motivated and committed to maintaining high standards
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and adaptability in a changing environment
Desirable Attributes:
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or other food safety practices
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
A positive, forward-thinking attitude with a passion for continuous improvement
