Technical Project Manager (161dm) - Heathrow - £50000-£55000 DOE

Our client is looking for a dynamic individual who can confidently manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain oversight of technical requirements while ensuring alignment with client expectations and contract obligations.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects, working closely with engineers, sales teams, and operational staff to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. While not a hands-on engineering role, a solid understanding of technical systems is essential to effectively support engineering teams and inform project decision-making.
In this client-facing role, you’ll also contribute to the commercial and operational aspects of delivery, including reporting, cost control, and process refinement.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage day-to-day delivery of technical and communications projects.
•Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a professional representative of the business.
•Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
•Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and procurement to meet project timelines and quality standards.
•Track financial performance and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
•Monitor project progress against contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs.
•Attend client meetings, providing clear project updates and issue resolution.
•Maintain project compliance with contractual, technical, and operational standards.
•Support continuous improvement by refining delivery processes and ensuring consistency.
•Liaise with suppliers and technology partners to ensure smooth delivery and collaboration.
•Communicate proactively with stakeholders to manage expectations and project outcomes.
•Identify and escalate risks or service-impacting issues as needed.
•Work closely with senior leadership to align on high-priority initiatives.
•Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability, and problem-solving within the team.
Requirements & Desired Experience
•3+ years of project management experience in a technical environment.
•Prince2 or PMP certification (preferred).
•Strong understanding of communications infrastructure and wireless ICT systems.
•4+ years of hands-on experience in radio and wireless communications projects.
•Able to interpret technical documentation such as system designs, network diagrams, and installation plans.
•Familiar with telecoms/networking concepts and project scoping.
•Demonstrated experience bridging commercial and technical delivery needs.
•Experience working directly with engineers through design, installation, and commissioning phases.
•Client-facing project management experience under NEC or similar contract structures (preferred).
•Comfortable with process design and implementing operational improvements.
•Familiarity with the construction and/or transport sectors is an advantage.
•Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
•Willingness to travel to customer sites and project locations when required.
•High level of professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness.
