About the RoleYou’ll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team delivering both qualitative and quantitative safety studies across a wide range of facilities, processes, and operations. Depending on your experience, you may lead national and international projects, working in a culture that values teamwork, integrity, empowerment, and practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and potentially lead technical safety projects
Apply risk assessment techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Bowtie
Conduct consequence modelling (fire, explosion, toxic gas) using tools like PHAST or FRED
Perform QRA and other safety studies using software such as SAFETI or SHEPHERD
Manage large-scale CFD projects using HPC/cloud platforms
Undertake RAM studies, DSEAR/ATEX assessments, and hazardous area classifications
Integrate human factors and safety culture into project work
Support proposal writing and bid coordinationQualifications & Skills
Degree in engineering or a relevant science discipline
Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in technical safety or risk consultancy
Expereince of managing / supervising a team
Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Safety Cases, ALARP, SIMOPS
Functional Safety (FSA, FMECA, Fault Tree)
Facility Siting, EERA, ESSA, FERA
Project planning and management
