Job Description
We're looking for a motivated and personable Internal Technical Sales professional to join our clients dynamic Sales Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a degree-level education in electrical engineering (or equivalent) who enjoys building relationships and providing technical solutions with a personal touch.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Sales team, you'll work closely with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face to identify and maximise sales opportunities. Your role will be varied and rewarding, including:
Advising customers on compatible products and services while delivering exceptional customer service.
Keeping customers informed on product availability, pricing, discounts, and delivery timelines.
Sourcing alternative parts when lead times don't meet customer needs.
Demonstrating knowledge of our franchise suppliers and sourcing non-franchise products when needed.
Interpreting customer requirements and recommending associated products.
Negotiating pricing with commercial awareness to maximise margins.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Taking ownership of your personal development and contributing to team performance.
Adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
A solid educational background, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Ideally, a degree or ONC/HNC qualification in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
Strong interpersonal skills - you enjoy engaging with people and making a positive impression.
A methodical and precise approach to work.
Excellent customer service and support skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Experience in electrical engineering or electrical distribution is highly desirable.
A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and seek continuous improvement.The role is based in the Milton Keynes office working Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm.
