With a global presence across more than 20 countries, the company delivers innovative systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational performance. In the UK, it partners with a wide range of clients to design, install, and maintain cutting-edge conveyor, storage, and automated handling systems, backed by strong engineering expertise and reliable after-sales service.
Purpose of Role
* To drive new business development and manage key existing accounts for material handling, automation, and intralogistics system solutions in the UK market.

* To act as a trusted liaison between the customer and the technical/engineering teams (given the technical nature of the systems).
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, target, and win new clients in the UK/ROI (for example, warehouses, distribution centres, airports, manufacturing plants) for automation and material handling solutions.
* Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring their requirements are understood and being met, and maximise upsell/cross-sell opportunities (e.g., service contracts, spare parts, system upgrades).
* Work closely with internal teams (engineering, project management, operations, service) to ensure effective bid/tender responses, proposals, and seamless handover to delivery.
* Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, and account plans; report on sales KPIs; monitor competitive activity and market trends.
* Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to promote the company’s brand and capabilities, and to network with prospects.
* Maintain CRM records, track leads through the pipeline, prepare quotations, and negotiate commercial terms in line with company policies.
* Ensure margin targets are met, terms & conditions are correctly managed, and any contract risks are addressed prior to signing.
* Travel as required (client visits, site surveys, trade shows) and stay updated on developments in automation/warehouse material handling technologies.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in B2B sales (typically 3–5+ years) in automation, intralogistics, material handling, robotics, or a related engineering solution business.
* Strong technical acumen: ability to understand automation systems, convey technical concepts to business decision-makers, and work with engineers.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (face-to-face, online, via phone/email).
* Ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract signature.
* Experience working with bids/tenders and preparing proposals.
* Good commercial awareness: understanding of margin/profitability, contract terms, and risk management.
* Self-motivated, ambitious, and resilient; comfortable working to targets.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and possibly internationally; full UK driving licence preferredDo not include the following in your job application, CV, or cover letter:
