Targeting the residential and commercial sectors, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Business Development professional to promote our range of products to Architects, Specifiers, Developers, Main Contractors and sub-contractors across the UK.
Working alongside the specification and commercial team, the regional Technical Sales Manager role will focus on building and safeguarding the specification, tracking and pricing projects and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients at all levels.
Technical Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager responsibilities:
* Ensure face to face customer contact is maintained with key existing and prospective customers in the commercial sector for all brands.
* Manage the relationship with sub-contractors and key personnel in the distribution sector and ensure commercial projects are won by supporting specifications as well as discretional business.
* Identify new market opportunities and feedback market intelligence to the business.
* Help formulate and deliver regular CPD presentations.
* Update CRM daily with project tracking information, customer call details and demonstrate effective diary management aligned with the rating and ranking report for the area.
Successful Technical Manager/Business Development Manager Skills:
* This role requires a commercially minded Business Development Manager from within the Construction Materials Supply Sector.
* Experience of fire protection, acoustic / thermal insulation materials and facades is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong technical skills and experience in the relevant field.
* Proven leadership and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A problem-solving mentality and the ability to think critically
