Job Description
Branta Recruitment are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager with a strong heating and commercial gas bias to lead and develop a skilled maintenance team in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This role will see you managing a team of up to 15 engineers, delivering high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial buildings. You’ll be the go-to technical lead, providing expertise, guidance, and support to ensure compliance, efficiency, and safe operation of all building services.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead a team of up to 15 engineers and technicians.
*
Provide hands-on technical support, with emphasis on heating and commercial gas systems.
*
Oversee maintenance operations across a range of commercial facilities.
*
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, H&S, and industry standards.
*
Support training, development, and performance management of the team.
*
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver service excellence.
*
Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and best practice across operations.
About You
*
Proven experience in technical services / maintenance management.
*
Strong knowledge of heating systems and commercial gas compliance.
*
Background in facilities management or building services.
*
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
*
Able to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
