Job Title: Technical Services Manager Location: North Kent – with travel across regional portfolio Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + benefits + package bonus Sector: Facilities / Property / Retail Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Role We’re seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a leading property services team. You’ll act as the subject-matter expert (SME) across a mixed commercial & retail portfolio, ensuring technical standards, compliance, and governance are delivered consistently through CAFM and audit systems. You’ll play a key role in: * Operational excellence: driving KPIs, auditing FM partners, and ensuring quality assurance for audit purposes. * Voids & acquisitions: overseeing void governance, supporting new site acquisitions, disposals, and contract reviews. * Stakeholder engagement: partnering with clients, operations managers, and FM service partners to deliver a proactive, responsive service. Key Responsibilities * Audit and monitor FM operational standards, ensuring delivery against KPIs and SLAs. * Provide technical guidance to Operations Managers and support performance/dispute resolution. * Manage and oversee CAFM & compliance platforms, producing evidence-based reporting. * Ensure governance and adherence to void management processes across the portfolio. * Support acquisitions, disposals, and development projects to ensure seamless mobilisation. * Collaborate closely with FM service partners to drive value, best practice, and service innovation. * Ensure all policies, processes, and procedures meet H&S, statutory compliance, and quality assurance standards. About You Essential * Proven experience in technical FM across retail or commercial environments (essential-retail exposure required). * Strong knowledge of hard & soft services, CAFM & compliance systems. * Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing skills. * Analytical, methodical problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Desirable * FM-related qualification (e.g. IWFM, NEBOSH, RICS Service Charge). * Industry trade qualifiation or degree City Guilds Electrical or Mechanical or HNC/HND * Experience driving automation, technology, or ESG initiatives.
