Join Our Team as a Technical Specialist - Road Safety!
Are you passionate about road safety and eager to make a difference in your community? Our client is looking for a dedicated Technical Specialist to join their Control Room team across the Black Country. If you have the skills to operate and maintain critical systems ensuring the safety of road users, we want to hear from you!
Position Details:
Contract Type: Temporary
Location: Various control rooms across the Black Country
Hourly Rate: £15.08
Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Start Date: September 22, 2025
Driving Required: Yes
What You'll Do:
As a Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of systems such as TMS, CCTV, MYCITY, and car park control. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating the UTMC systems in compliance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998.
Conducting regular checks to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
Providing operational management advice and supporting the financial management of the service.
Logging third-party damages and processing related claims.
Managing access to CCTV and UTC data while ensuring compliance with Information Governance.
What We're Looking For:
A proactive individual with a strong commitment to road safety.
Experience in managing technical systems and a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including emergency services and external agencies.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an out-of-hours service as needed.
