Role Overview:
As a Technical Specialist, you will be at the forefront of operating and maintaining critical systems that enhance road safety. Your main focus will be on the effective management of the Control Room, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and maintaining operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the UTMC systems, including TMS, CCTV, MYCITY, and car park control systems.
Conduct regular checks to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
Provide expert advice on the operational management of these systems.
Assist with financial management, including budget monitoring and processing purchase orders.
Record third-party damages and process claims to support cost recovery.
Manage day-to-day system faults and ensure timely rectification.
Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Attend meetings and collaborate with contractors, utilities, and other departments.
Prepare correspondence and reports essential for service functions.
What We're Looking For:
1-3 years of experience in a highway or customer service environment.
Knowledge of ITS systems and operational management.
Strong database management skills and computer literacy.
Experience working in a control room setting.
Relevant technical training and certifications (HERS ECS Sector 8, SIA Licence Level 2).
Full driving licence and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Hours of Work:
Average of 37 hours per week with flexible hours between 06:00 - 20:00 Mon-Fri and 09:00-18:30 on Saturdays.
Participate in an out-of-hours service as needed.
