With a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and technical excellence, they offer a modern, collaborative environment where engineers can develop their expertise and contribute to global engineering standards.
The Role
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join a dynamic customer support and technical services team. This position provides both pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and distributors worldwide, ensuring exceptional service and technical accuracy.
The role also includes supporting the production and test teams, helping to resolve technical issues, perform diagnostics, and contribute to continuous improvement within the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide timely, professional, and effective pre- and post-sales technical support to global customers by email, phone, and on-site visits.
* Manage warranty issues and returned goods, liaising with suppliers and ensuring all work is accurately logged as chargeable or non-chargeable.
* Work collaboratively with internal departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical faults.
* Support the production line to address electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues — including wiring, PLC/HMI programming, and assembly non-conformities.
* Perform specialised or non-standard testing of equipment, including research and development profiles.
* Assist in the creation and distribution of technical bulletins and updates to customers, distributors, and service partners.
* Provide quality inspection cover when required, performing audits and end-of-line checks before product despatch.
* Read and interpret PLC ladder logic, structured text, and electrical wiring diagrams.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across production, support, and quality functions.
About You
* Strong electro-mechanical engineering background with solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Understanding of PLC and HMI control systems (Schneider preferred; Ladder Logic / Structured Text).
* Confident in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to support international customers in a clear and professional manner.
* A structured and methodical approach to problem-solving and technical documentation.
* Good understanding of assembly, fitting, and quality control procedures.
* Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.
* Customer-focused, proactive, and eager to learn.
Benefits
* Competitive salary based on experience.
* Life assurance and company pension scheme.
* Private healthcare (after 6 months’ service).
* Ongoing professional training and technical development.
* Free on-site parking and modern facilities.
* Supportive and collaborative working culture.
* Clear opportunities for career progression within an international manufacturer.
