The Opportunity We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist - Imaging to join a leading global provider of advanced biomolecular imaging systems used across life sciences research. This is a home-based role with regular UK-wide travel (and occasional European trips), supporting customers across academia, biotech, and pharma sectors. In this dynamic position, you'll combine your scientific knowledge and technical aptitude to provide expert support on sophisticated imaging instrumentation and software. You'll be responsible for installations, customer training, troubleshooting, and technical service, while also assisting the commercial team with pre-sales demonstrations and customer evaluations. Key Responsibilities Install and verify imaging systems at customer sites, ensuring users are fully trained and confident. Provide on-site, phone, and remote technical support, troubleshooting and resolving technical or application issues. Deliver customer training and support to maximize instrument performance and user satisfaction. Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs in collaboration with the service team. Support sales and applications teams with product demonstrations and technical expertise. Proactively engage with customers, sharing feedback and insights with the wider business. About You Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biophysics or a related discipline. 2-3+ years of laboratory experience with molecular biology, proteomics, or imaging applications. Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with complex laboratory instrumentation and scientific software. Excellent communication skills - able to train, present, and support customers with professionalism and clarity. Commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset.
