Technical Writer - AVP | London
Department: Development Team
Location: London 3 days a week onsite
Are you passionate about turning complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation? Join our Development team as a Technical Writer - AVP and play a key role in shaping the way we communicate our software solutions.
What You'll Do:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation across the software development lifecycle.
Translate code and technical specifications into clear, accessible documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with developers and management to capture business requirements and technical details.
Guide teams in understanding application architecture, UI design, business data, and internal procedures.
Facilitate onboarding and knowledge-sharing sessions for new and existing team members.
Ensure documentation aligns with JRIE's Change Management Control procedures and QA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce user manuals, technical specs, system operation guides, and internal procedure documents.
Review and enhance existing documentation for clarity and accuracy.
Supervise application functionality to ensure alignment with documented processes.
Maintain strong communication with Development, Technical Support, and Infrastructure teams.What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in technical writing within software development environments.
Must have hands-on experience with .NET, C#, and SQL.
Ability to translate complex code and logic into readable, structured documentation.
Experience using Visio for technical diagrams and SharePoint for document management.
Must have a proactive mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships with 50+ developers to gather accurate and timely requirements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
