We are looking for an experienced Alloy Wheel Repair Technician to take the reins of our mobile alloy wheel repair business – Wheel Wizard. You will be based in our Wincanton branch but will travel to our other Dealerships across Somerset, Dorset & Wiltshire, along with other trade and retail customers. About the role: As an Alloy Wheel Repair Technician , you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and performance of customer and stock vehicles by repairing and refurbishing alloy wheels. This role requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results... Duties as an Alloy Wheel Repair Technician may include: * Conduct thorough inspections of alloy wheels to identify damage, scratches, dents, and other imperfections. * Provide accurate assessments of repair requirements and estimated completion times. * Execute precise alloy wheel repairs, including straightening, lathe work, sanding, and painting, to restore them to factory standards. * Employ industry-leading techniques and equipment to ensure the highest quality finishes. * Match paint colours precisely to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring a seamless and aesthetically pleasing result. * Perform rigorous quality checks on completed alloy wheel repairs to guarantee customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards. * Maintain detailed records of repairs, including before-and-after photographs, job sheets, and any additional documentation required. * Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes, provide accurate quotes, and address any inquiries or concerns. * Support others around the business by performing to the best of your ability. * Be part of the reason our customers keep on coming back! The ideal candidate: * Has proven experience as an Alloy Wheel Repair Technician or similar repair & finishing role, * Demonstrates strong knowledge of alloy wheel repair techniques, including straightening, lathe work, and painting, * Is proficient in colour matching and paint application, * Is familiar with industry-standard tools and equipment, * Shows excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, * Excels in customer service – you’re a people person who always goes above and beyond to make people happy, * Can manage their own busy workload while working independently, * Thrives and remains calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines.
