Carmichael are seeking an experienced Temporary works Coordinator to join the team on a nuclear project based in Cumbria
Coordinating Temporary Works Schemes with the Permanent underground and above ground works
Review or prepare design briefs and other temporary works scheme documentation
Ensure Design Brief prepared by Others are adequate and cover the actual site conditions and permanent works design.
Managing external and internal TW Designers.
Knowledge of Principle Contractor and Principal Designers CDM roles.
Coordinate TW with the Permanent Works Designer. Advise on TW loads and actions that should be considered in the permanent works.
Ensure procedures are implemented by subcontractors.
Inspecting TW installation and sign into use and issue necessary permits
Ensure the Site TW procedures are satisfactorily maintained in line with HUK procedures
Ensure TWS are trained and stringently implementing the TW Procedures on site
Experience
Engineering related qualification - HNC/HND, preferably BENG or higher
Previous experience a TWC, TWD or TWS
Member of professional institution
Minimum of 10 years post-graduation civil engineering design experience
Competent use of relevant design and CAD software
