JOB TITLE: Temporary Accommodation Support Officer JOB TYPE: Temporary PRIMARY INDUSTRY: Social Care ADDITIONAL INDUSTRIES: Public Sector PRECISE LOCATION: Chatham (ME4 4TR) DISPLAY LOCATION: Chatham SALARY: £13.75 to £18.18 START DATE: ASAP DURATION: Temporary ongoing JOB DETAILS: Are you an experienced in Tenancy Accommodation/ Housing Options/ Homelessness support. We're working on behalf of a local authority in Kent looking for a Temporary Accommodation Management Support Officer to join their housing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong people skills and a background in housing, tenancy or customer support to make a real difference in the community. This will be on a temporary ongoing basis, full time 37 hours per week paying £13.75 per hour PAYE which is approx. £26,455 salary or £18.18 per hour through an umbrella. Hybrid working. Key Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day housing needs for residents living in temporary accommodation. * Coordinate property inspections, maintenance and repairs to ensure homes are safe and compliant. * Support residents with advice and guidance to help them sustain their accommodation and move into permanent housing. * Liaise with contractors, maintenance teams and internal departments to resolve property or tenancy issues quickly. * Respond to tenancy-related concerns, including complaints and anti-social behaviour, in a fair and professional way. * Maintain accurate case notes, tenancy records and reports. * Work collaboratively with partner agencies, such as social services and the police, to support vulnerable residents and promote safeguarding.
