Temporary Proofreader
Manchester City Centre
8.30am-5pm (3 days a week)
Office Based
£15+ Hourly Pay Rate
ASAP - 4 weeks (possibly extended)
(Trial tests are part of the interview process)
Are you passionate about the written word? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for ensuring clarity and precision in technical content? If so, our client is looking for a talented Proofreader to join their dynamic team!
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for reviewing a variety of content repurposed from original materials such as white papers, technical notes, and case studies. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of the original text while ensuring it is polished and professional. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to producing high-quality work.
What You'll Do:
Review and proofread technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines.
Rewrite source material sentence by sentence to create new versions that closely align with the original tone and flow while avoiding duplication flags from search engines.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Utilise tracked changes in Microsoft Word to provide clear feedback and suggestions for improvement.Who You Are:
You have proven experience editing or proofreading technical content.
Your English grammar and usage is exceptional.
You are comfortable working with tracked changes in Microsoft Word and can follow detailed formatting guidelines with ease.Office Angels is an employment agency.
