Temporary Transport Administrator
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Transport Administrator to join our client’s busy transport office based in Sandbach. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The role is ongoing, with the potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities of this Transport Administrator role:
Provide daily administrative support to the Transport team.
Plan and monitor vehicle schedules, driver routes, and deliveries.
Liaise with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth transport operations.
Process delivery notes, PODs, and driver paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Maintain up-to-date records on transport management systems.
Support compliance with driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and legal documentation.
Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Assist the Transport Manager with reporting and general office duties as required.
Skills & Experience Required for this Transport Administrator role:
Previous experience in transport, logistics, or administrative roles (preferred).
Strong IT skills – proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
A proactive, reliable, and positive team player.
Details of this Transport Administrator role:
£13.00 per hour
Monday to Friday 7:30-17:00
