Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Temporary Works Administrator to join our dynamic team delivering the redevelopment project at Devonport, Dockyard. The successful candidate will be working on one of the UK’s most significant defence programmes.
As Temporary Works Administrator, you'll be working within the Devonport Dockyard team, supporting them in providing administrative support to our growing team of Temporary Works Coordinators delivering all aspects of Temporary Works on one of the major projects ongoing in the dockyard.
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from an EU, NATO, Five Eyes, or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be working in a live MOD facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Administration of the project Temporary Works Register and updating the schedule of designs currently progressing through the system
* Assembly of Design Packs of completed Temporary Works Designs
* Submission of Design Packs to the Client for Approval, via CDE (CEMAR)
* Filing of Approved Temporary Works Designs on the Project CDE (ProjectWise)
* Administration of the project Permit to Load / Dismantle Register
* Filing of KBJV and Client approved Temporary Works Permits on the Project CDE (ProjectWise).
* Filing of Scaffolding Handover and weekly Inspection documentation from Sub-contractors
This profile is not exhaustive. From time to time, you may be required by the Company to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within your capabilities and, where necessary, training, and full support will be given.

Experience:
* Punctual with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and deliver against key tasks whilst working in a busy multi-disciplinary work environment
* Pro-active Team Worker
* Excellent organisational and effective communication skills
* Diligence and attention to detail
* Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Working to tight deadlines whilst delivering quality documentation within pre-agreed timescales
* Effective record keeping skills
* An appreciation of commercial and programme controls would be beneficial
* Fully proficient working with and utilising key software packages such as Excel and Word, PDF-XChange Editor along with familiarisation with other software such as ProjectWise, CEMAR and CAD applications.
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Plymouth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
* Hours of work – Monday to Friday – 08.00 am to 17.00 pm (42.5)
Licence/Certification:
* EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports (preferred)
