Tenancy Relations Officer - Sussex Council
£35-£45 per hour
Initial 3-month contract
2 days per week on site

A Sussex Council is looking for an experienced Tenancy Relations Officer to join their Private Sector Housing service on an initial 3-month contract.
You'll be responsible for investigating and responding to tenancy-related issues, including:
Unlawful evictions, threatened lockouts, utility disconnections and landlord harassment
Intervening quickly to prevent unlawful action and advising landlords and tenants on their rights and responsibilities
Mediating complex and sensitive disputes to help tenants remain safely in their homes
Gathering evidence, taking witness statements and interviewing suspects under caution
Preparing case files to support prosecutions, civil penalties and other enforcement action
Advising on tenancy agreements, deposit protection, repairs and lawful possession proceduresThey're looking for someone who is HHSRS qualified, has a strong Private Sector Housing background and can demonstrate solid housing enforcement experience.
