Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) Officer Location: Romford Duration of booking: 6 months Proposed start date: ASAP Pay Rates: £18.33 PAYE Holiday Hours / Working Days: 36 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm Sector: Public Sector Based: Office Job Summary Are you passionate about delivering excellent housing services and empowering communities? Join us as a TMO Officer and play a vital role in supporting and monitoring the services provided by Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs) across Havering. Housing management experience is essential Experience / knowledge of Tenant management organisations (TMO's) is desirable. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to improving housing services and empowering local communities. Main Duties & Responsibilities As a TMO Officer, you will be the key liaison between the Council and TMOs, ensuring residents receive high-quality housing management services. You will coordinate service delivery, monitor performance, and support governance and financial oversight. This is a dynamic role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on support. • Act as the main point of contact for TMOs, supporting them in delivering resident-focused services. • Monitor compliance with the Modular Management Agreement and ensure KPIs are met. • Coordinate TMO activities with council departments and external partners. • Lead on audits, performance reviews, and resident ballots. • Support TMOs in governance, training, and effective communication with residents. Essential Criteria • Experience in social housing and knowledge of legal/regulatory frameworks. • Strong communication and IT skills (MS Office proficiency essential). • Understanding of contract monitoring and governance. • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings for meetings. • A valid driving licence with a car to use for work. Consequently, the post holder may be required to perform duties not specifically identified in the job profile, but which are in line with the general responsibilities of the post. · Deal with any Safeguarding issues that might arise, in line with the Council’s policies and procedures
